Convict built in 1823, the same year as the Bridge, these cute, irreplaceable cottages (historic little treasures) full of history and charm represent some of the earliest examples of conjoined worker’s cottages in Tasmania. 

Built of convict brick (completely separated by a fire wall between them) the cottages are among Tasmania's earliest surviving workers' cottages.  Rich in history and character, they are believed to have housed the overseer of the convicts during the construction of the Bridge.
