 If you love horses, this is the best area to ride, breed, and interact with other horse lovers. It is typical to see people on horseback on the streets of Almonte, training their horses in dressage or seeing carriages drawn by mules, donkeys, or teams of horses.
 The Costa de la Luz boasts many of the best beaches in Spain. The Doana National Park, which stretches out on both sides of the seven km-long promenade of Matalascaas, allows no developments outside of the town, and empty stretches of beach can be found along the 50 km-long sandy beach even in the summer months. You find extensive dunes on one side of Matalascaas, and on the other are scenic sandstone cliffs and nudist beaches.
