ABOUT THE AREA Cuevas del Almanzora is a municipality of Almera province, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. Cuevas is one of the oldest towns in the province, lying in the fertile valley of the Almanzora River. In the early 19th century silver was discovered in the Sierra Almagrera Mountains.
