It is perfectly suited to organic farming.Perched on a plateau of rolled pebbles, comparable to the terroir of Chateauneuf du Pape, this small appellation of just 250 hectares is the closest vineyard in the southern Rhone valley to the papal city of Avignon.The estate cultivates 24 hectares of vines, of which 21.4 hectares are owned and 2.8 hectares leased. The vineyard is classed AOP Cotes du Rhone Villages (14.7ha), Cotes du Rhone (9.3ha) and IGP (0.2ha).The vineyard has been certified organic for many years. It is very well maintained and the grape varieties are in line with the appellation?s specifications. The average yield is around 40-45 hl/ha.
