A chteau, parkland crossed by a moat, a vast caretaker's cottage and outbuildings, 35 km south-east of Paris. Out of sight of prying eyes, the property extends over almost 3 hectares and is partly enclosed by ancient walls. At its centre, the chteau stands out against a rural backdrop, punctuated by ancient trees and crossed by a moat, the silent remains of a former stronghold that has now disappeared. Not far from the wrought iron entrance gate, a vast residence which was formerly the caretaker's lodge is set back somewhat, flanked by various sheds. Further on, the former stables have been converted into a light-filled artist's studio, with a separate studio upstairs. There is also a former kennel. At the north-east end, a second entrance leads to the chteau via an old stone bridge, not far from where the old chicken coop still stands.
