In Brenne, a hunting estate of 81 ha bordered by a river full of fish, with a comfortable house, outbuildings and a hunting room. From a small departmental road, a long private road leads into the woods for more than 1 km. Suddenly, meadows appear and open up perspectives on the other parts of the property and on the surrounding territories. The river flows below. Preceded by a gravelled courtyard and bordered by two stone barns, this house is set in an old 17th century water mill, which was remodelled in the middle of the 19th century. The whole has been carefully restored, to form today a comfortable residence of about 300 m of living space. It is two storeys high and has a traditional masonry faade, covered with rendering and topped with a gable roof of flat tiles. The frames of the ground floor windows, as well as the quoins, are made of alternating brick and stone. Skylights illuminate the rooms on the first floor, under the eaves. At the end of the ground floor, a wide arcade with the same links spans the millrace that once turned the mill wheel. At the entrance to the estate, away from the house, other stone outbuildings include a small hunting room.
