A house with a garden, nestled in the port of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue on the Cotentin peninsula of Normandy. The house stands at one end of the village of Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and faces the marina and its many pleasure boats. A few fishing boats are moored along the quay. The port exit is just a stone's throw away. There is a similar dwelling on one side of the house. The house has a ground floor, a first floor, a second floor and a third floor in the roof space. It is made of rubble stone, coated with rendering. The window and door surrounds are made of ashlar. On the port side, all the windows are fitted with wrought-iron guardrails. The house is crowned with a gabled slate roof with two hipped dormers on each side, as well as skylights. The dwelling that adjoins it on the other side is more modern and is one floor lower in height. The ground floor has an entrance hall and a garage.
