In the territory of the ancient medieval village of Galliano, not far from Florence, stands the historic residence, in a position that allows the eye to dominate the landscape on the Mugello hills. Still under renovation, it has a garden, park and panoramic swimming pool. The residence has expanded over the centuries starting from the Medieval Tower, dating back to the 11th century, to which the noble central body of the 13th century and finally the North Tower, home of the keeper, have been added. Large and splendid cellars occupy the basement. The villa can easily be divided into three townhouse units, each with at least four bedrooms. The entire property is fenced, has internal parking and a gravel driveway.The ground floor is accessed by a large entrance with coffered ceiling. The walls are decorated and one of them has the exposed stones of the Medieval Tower. A large corridor leads to two large rooms, both with decorated walls, coffered ceilings and original parquet from the early 1900s. One room, 50 square meters, has walls completely decorated in the early 1900s by Leto Chini, a well-known local artist. The large kitchen is equipped with a large fireplace, very suitable for grilling. The dining room, located in the medieval tower, has a ribbed ceiling. The bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, are located on the first floor. On the second floor there is another bedroom with private bathroom, while on the third and top floor there is a usable attic.The caretaker's house, now called the North Tower, is developed on three floors. On the ground floor it has a kitchen and dining room with fireplace. The first floor has a large master bedroom with a spacious ensuite bathroom, which features two sinks, a bathtub and a shower. The second floor has a further three bedrooms. The third and last floor is currently used as a library. The ceilings are in exposed beams and the parquet or terracotta floors.In the park, a centuries-old cedar from Lebanon makes a fine show, along with numerous fruit trees. In the garden, with green lawn and flowers, there is a pergola, on which a centuries-old yellow rose climbs. Under the pergola there are tables for relaxing outside. The panoramic swimming pool has an edge in pietra serena and a paved area for the positioning of deck chairs. In an elevated position it is bordered by hedges and an ancient cast iron railing.
