Il Capricorno , a splendid mountain boutique hotel opened in 1966 by the Sacchi family and since then the flagship of Piedmontese hotels. Located at 1, 800 meters above sea level, it is the ideal destination for lovers of winter sports and activities but also for those who, in summer, love to walk in the scented silence of the woods and capture the passing of the seasons. It has 10 elegant rooms with bathrooms, with splendid views of the surrounding mountains. The Saint Georges lounge represents the heart of the chalet, a welcoming place to meet after a day in the open air. The elegant restaurant and bar are also open to those who are not guests of the hotel. In winter, the Bar Ski Stop Orsa Maggiore is also open, for skiers who do not want to take their skis off their feet. The structure has also been used for weddings, with a maximum of 100 guests, for fashion events (Moncler and Colmar have shown), corporate presentations (Audi and Rolls Royce...), Coca-Cola chose Il Capricorno as its headquarters during the 2006 Turin Olympics. Finally, the interviews with Pierino Gros and Paolo De Chiesa for the documentary La Valanga Azzurra by Paolo Veronesi were filmed inside the chalet. Il Capricorno has obtained from the Municipality of Sauze d'Oulx the possibility of a 30% increase in cubic capacity with charges already paid: the project includes the construction of a Spa with swimming pool, gym, sauna and Turkish bath, a meeting room, an exhibition hall, the expansion of the restaurant, two suites separated from the central body and the expansion of the terraces.
