The estate is located in the so-called meia serra (mid-mountain region), at the northwest end of the Silves parish, halfway between Silves and Monchique. It consists of three rural properties and four urban properties with a built area of 1000m. The property has a total surface area of approximately 218 hectares (ha) and is crossed by the Odelouca and Monchico streams. Thanks to small dams, it is possible to manage water storage effectively, even in years of very low rainfall, ensuring a continuous supply throughout the year, both for irrigation and other uses. In addition to the Odelouca and Monchico streams, there are four small watersheds where seven small dams have been installed. The estate also features a system of tanks located at a high point, allowing for the automatic supply and distribution of water to all residences. There are also around 30 km of rural paths that provide easy access to any point on the property. The land is currently occupied by stone pine (121 ha), strawberry tree (22 ha), citrus orchards (25 ha), cork oak (15 ha), and eucalyptus (1 ha). The main agricultural activity is citrus production, which spans 25 hectares and provides a stable and growing annual income. Given the edaphoclimatic conditions on the estate, with a significant temperature gradient throughout the year, there is clear potential for producing high-quality wine. The terracing of the land, already in place, and the existing warehouses facilitate the investment in vine planting over a significant area, as well as the installation of a winery aimed at establishing an economically viable business by developing a proprietary wine brand.Thanks to its privileged location in terms of scenic beauty, mild climate, biodiversity, and isolation/privacy, the estate has tremendous potential for tourism development, particularly nature tourism, throughout the year. The proximity to golf courses and the potential to maintain an equine stock on the estate enhance the possibility of developing luxury tourism. Additionally, the diversity of fauna and flora species offers great potential for outdoor activities, such as bird watching, hunting (partridge, hare, wild boar, and roe deer), and fishing (carp and bass).
