Are you looking for your own homestead property or for a property with good investment qualities? If so, you might read on. This is wooded mountain property right outside of the city. It was logged a while back and there are a myriad of trails running through it. It is a beautiful recreational or homestead site.  But I see it also has opportunity for one or more homes that could be hidden in the mountain with views of the lake. Older, larger trees remain with a mix of new growth that's easier to clear.  That is good because there are several large, flatter areas to be found along the utility line road that leads to them. Those flat areas when cleared of small growth might be nice build sites for homes or recreational cabins. The mountain rises up from the county road along most of its length, gaining elevation from the bottom through its width, while rising higher & higher up along its length towards the top. This utility line easement road up the mountain is so gradual and wide, that it is actually easy to walk! The higher the elevation the deeper the drop is down to the public road on the right. The flatter areas are just above a small bank to the left of the easement.  Clearing some of the smaller brush between the nice big trees partly down the hill from the easement towards the public road would open views to Cherokee Lake and/or to distant mountains while retaining privacy. The utility poles are near the outside edge of the access on the left as you drive up on the mountain. The utility easement might be usable to include a driveway to easily drive  up the mountain. From there, perhaps a short driveway going up or through the small bank on the left can be installed to one or several sites along the way to make way for homes or recreational dwellings. If this is true, access and electricity are both readily available, though well & septic system(s) would still be needed.  The property is unrestricted with no set zoning. Use your own imagination on how you would develop it. The property rises steeply from the areas I've described into seemingly never-ending woods for what I expect might be great hunting grounds, with perhaps, some other real surprises and treasures yet to be found. Moreover, if your dream is to be quietly and peacefully tucked away into a big, beautiful private mountain of your own, with views of the mountains and the lake, and with plenty of room for a home, outbuildings and your pets, of your own, then perhaps you've found it here at price that's worth having it!
